Booking Your Session
I do believe we are lucky to have one of the most spectacular + wild backdrops in our own backyards here in the Tri-Ports. From ancient forests to rocky beaches and everything in between. When you first contact me, I'll send you a quick questionnaire, along with a little information about me + a product catalog. The more information you give me, the more I can customize your photo shoot so you have a good idea about what you want out of your session and together we'll make the magic happen!
Choosing Your Location
You are welcome to choose your own location or pick from the location list which will be in your session guide when you enquire. Photoshoots normally take place in a natural setting such as a local park with a lake, woodlands or a hilly, mountainous location with wonderful views. While we don't have thriving metropolises here on our beautiful North Island, urban small towns can also be a great setting for some really unique and vibrant images. If you are struggling to choose a location, take a look through my portfolio to see if there are any images that you’d like to recreate with your dog, I can then guide you to where the best location will be to achieve it. Please let me know if you or your dog have any health issues so that we make sure to pick a suitable location. Please note there is a small travel fee for some locations that are outside of the Tri-Port area.
Enjoy Your Session
During your Meet + Treat session we will get all the finer details sorted out, and all the paperwork signed, so that when your session day comes, all you have to do is simply relax, have fun + be in the moment with your fur-kids. If you'd like to be in some of the images too, no problem! There is no rush during your session, we'll take as much time that is needed to make sure we get the best results. Before your photo shoot, please read the section on how to prepare for your session which will be in your session guide.
The Final Results
After your photoshoot, I'll start the process of selecting and editing your images. This usually takes three weeks to complete. Once complete, I'll then schedule a Reveal session at Paws + Tails Pet Photography HQ. During your appointment, you'll view your images and choose your favorites! The amount of images you will view varies from session to session but the average is around 20 -30 images for one pet. Once you have chosen, we can begin selecting your products to create the beautiful artwork of your pet! I always ask clients to look through the product list beforehand to get some inspiration.
